she done a vaginal ultrasound & saw the sac in my stomach but there was a mass on my left tube. she had done hcg level & they were normal but she said it would be best to go ahead & have the shot. 4 days after i had the shot my hcg level was almost 10,000 which would be in the normal range for 4 weeks pregnant. i wasnt experiencing any symptoms of ectopic pregnancy or anything

Sorry but I'm unclear as to what actually happened.

Did the doctor CONFIRM an ectopic pregnancy (using ultrasound etc) or just suspect one? You said she *believed* you had an ectopic pregnancy and so recommended the methotrexate, but after checking further didn't give you the shot? or did she give you the shot? Are you still pregnant? When you said you found out later your hCG levels were normal, how did you find out?

But then at the end of your post you indicate that you were told you had a confirmed ectopic pregnancy?

Sorry I'm just a little unclear on what the situation is.

There are often situations where an ectopic pregnanct is suspected for a whole range of reasons, but it's always investigated before it is confirmed.
