i want to start wearing makeup but i dont know how to say it. im very shy and dont know how to say it. My sister doesnt approve of anything i do for no reason but shes the only one who knows much about makeup in my house. HELP ME? =[

Well, that depends on how old you are. If you're still in grade school, your school might not even permit anything more than chap-stick. So check to see what your school dress code is first. If you're out of grade school, have your friends over for a slumber party and give each other make overs. But always remember, less makeup is more. Seventeen magazine and Cosmo Girl have some great makeup tips since you're just starting out. Try to stay away from dark shades of anything. The smokey eye or cat eye looks great on the Red Carpet or in magazines, but it's way too much for an every day look. Good Luck!!

How old are you? If you are old enough to go to the store on your own go get some light colored lip gloss and brown mascara. Maybe some light powder. I would stay away from dark eyeshadow, lipstick, and blush for now. The key is to show them that you're a classy girl, because most moms just don't want their daughters looking like tarts. Every girl goes through this. Goodluck!

It depends how old you are , just start wearing subtle make-up and see what they say, dont wear too much no matter what your age or you will just look silly and may never get approval

well invite your friends over and tell them lts give makeovers... then if you like wearing it just go up to yur mom and politerly ask can i wear makeup? and you just waite for an answer my i started wearing makeup when ii was 11 or 12 so try it it just might work.....! hope it works!!!!

i was the same way , my mom didnt want me to wear make up but i bought some make up one day and put some on and just put it on light, i would say just buy some natural looking make up like clear lipgloss,dark brown mascara and a light pink or tan eyeshadow and put it on and show your mom and see what she says,and if you are talking about foundation try bareminerals

i agree with jade. you could do that as one idea. but also, jsut remember to be perfectly honest. it doesnt really matter what your sister thinks as long as your doing what makes you happy. :-)

you may not tell them, just show them you are wearing make up, just make sure that it will fit your age... do not be too flirty on putting make up...
