i have a wii, and i do that a lot... : ) no your wii is not broken you just need to flip the disk around. The disk is also fine, because the wii slot has like fibers and protective coating so that, that doesn't happen!!! Also, it might take a few more seconds than usual to load, but dont worry about it!

Does it still power on?
When you put the disk in correctly, does it play?
Does the unit freeze?
If you still have power and the disk plays, everything is fine.
If it isn't powering on, of if there are other concerns, contact Nintendo.
Good luck Hon.

This is fine. No harm to the disk, or the Wii.

Put it back in its normal place and see if it works. If it works, then you didn't break it. If it doesn't work, then you broke it.
Nothing should happen because I've put it in upside down before.
