I'm not sure that you get your points back if your question gets removed. I don't want to contradict the P&S guru, but I had two questions removed for lack of answers (yeah, my Q's need work:)). I am pretty sure I didn't get the points back.
I wouldn't worry though, you'll get plenty of answers.

went back to your other question first, its the pitts when that happens,happened to me once, lost the points and wouldn't ask another for a long time until thanksgiving, but thats a whole another story
