I am so confused by my ultrasound/pregnancy symptoms....?

I have two children already, so I know a bit about this topic, but I am soconfused now.

OK, first of all, I took a pregnancy test last week, and it was positive. I was about 3 days late for my period at that point. Later that same day, I began cramping and bleeding lightly (red blood, but very light flow). I am still cramping/bleeding, but it is not constant.

My doc was concerned so we did an ultrasound- the tech could not see anything, not even a sack. I have to go back to my doc to be screened for ectopic, but I have no symptoms other than the bleeding.

Has anyone had anything like this happen? I am very confused and freaked out. Thanks.

the bleeding is more like heavy spotting than a flow, if that makes any sense....

How far are you? Its possible that its too early to see anything on ultrasound. I had a detailed transvag and abdominal ultrasound at 5 1/2 weeks and they saw nothing. I'm now 16 weeks into a healthy pregnancy. Try not to worry too much. Best of luck to you.

Try not to worry too much right now. I had an internal scan at 5 weeks and they could barely pick up anything at all so if you were just late last week then it may just still be so early that it is hard to see anything. When she did mine she said she thougt it was the yolk sack. I'll pray for you and hope everything works out for you.

Sounds like you had a spontaneous miscarriage. The bleeding is basically a period now. A lot of woman have this and confuse it with their period, so that they never know they were pregnant. I'm sorry and wish you the best of luck!

i do know you get implantation bleeding, but dont know what else to say hun, id just wait and see what happens
