The geese won't make it back if I have a say in this...
Just check for bushes that suddenly start moving and you hear sounds coming from them, that would actually indicate spring is here.

yep they are. I live here in Omaha,Nebraska and was driving home from work last week,when I saw tons of geese flying North over the interstate. There must have been 2,000 at least if not more.
Also, a day or two after that,I heard a ton of them in the morning somewhere near to my house while I was going to work. However it was still dark and I could not see them at all. It was very cool.

The geese are definitely back here. They live in the park across from my house and they're all over the place.
