No, but James Oliver Curwood wrote a book about a dog called Kazan. There was also a sequel. I'm wondering if his book was confused with some of the dog stories Jack London wrote, like Call of the Wild and White Fang. They wrote about the same time period, though I think Curwood lived longer.

I have never heard of it.
But if you have checked the library and bookstores and can't find it, check one of thse used book exchange stores-they carry lots of hard to find books. Or check at garage sales and flea markets. As a LAST RESORT, check eBay.
