It sounds like that baby needs to be seen, take her in. If your doctor tells you its just a growth spurt, find a new doc. You know your daughter, if something is wrong, its wrong. We were told that my don was just teething and he had RSV. If it was the water I would think she would have diarrhea or be throwing up but it may be something in the water. If it bothers you, go back to bottled for awhile, but take her in. You know her, you know when she needs to be seen. Don't take any guff from your doctor, you are the mom, you know.

Tap water would not have caused this.
You are the mom, you KNOW when something is wrong. Call the dr back and tell him that you are extremely worried, this is not normal behavior when your daughter has a growth spurt, and you want an appointment right away. Be firm about it - don't let him put you off. If you have a genuine concern (which you do) the doctor is obligated to make an appointment and check it out.

Renee...push she be seen by a specialist like a Neurologist. My daughter had early problems with sitting up on her own. Its not normal. It could be benign hypotonia (low tone) or something else, but possibly something treatable. In any case it is just not normal for a 7 month old to not sit up. My daughter's pediatrician did NOTHING for a full year until I really pushed she be seen by a neurologist, and then of course everyone we saw after that WAS concerned. She turned out to have a serious genetic condition (Rett Syndrome) but sometimes it is something much less serious and treatable. Even if it is benign hypotonia the sooner the therapy starts the better to get her tone to improve. Good luck.

My daughter always had tap water, and didn't have any problems. Are you just giving her water, or are you saying that you mix her formula with tap water? Don't feed her water by itself until she is 12 months old.
Don't give her water alone, because this fills her up, and then she won't eat as much formula/milk/food when it is time to eat. Water alone offers no nutrition, and formula has tons of nutrition.
How old is the mattress where she sleeps? Does she have respiratory problems? Are there lots of books/papers in the room where she sleeps?
Has she been eating anything that has salt in it?
My daughter sat up and crawled at about 8 months, then walked at 10 months.
Give her formula whenever she wants it....that will provide the "water" she needs.

Okay, is she teething? I don't think your water has anything to do with it unless it's well water, which can have all sorts of things in it that aren't present in city water. Puffy eyes can also be a sign of allergies, sounds like it may be hay fever. Does hay fever and other springtime allergies run in your family? If so, run it by your doctor, but try giving her a little bit of benadryl and see if it helps. Good luck!

well it is normal for you child not sit up yet my son is 9 months and although he was holding onto things and walking at 7 he just didnt get balance enough to sit up unsupported til recently.if you feel that your pediatrician is not adressing your concerns then by all means get a second opinion and bottled water is better for baby as it has less chemicals than tap.hope this helps and good luck

Always check about your drinking water, just in case. Taking her to the dr. is always the best, but sometimes they just confuse us with there different actions. You can find out about your water by calling the local water dept, and asking them about harmful chemicals.
