This guy is a terrible human being, and a black eye for the entire league.
I really think the NBA should strongly consider banning Ron Artest for life.

Whether he's commiting dirty fouls on the court, breaking expensive equipment, turning his back on his teammates, going into the stands after fans, neglecting animals that are in his care, or now, beating on a woman, this guy is a disgrace, and should belong behind bars. Not on a basketball court, getting paid millions of dollars.

The fact that he's a terrific defender, and a very good all around basketball player, is really beside the point. He's just going to continue to cause problems, regardless of what teams he may play for.

Agree or disagree?

Monk, that is the central issue in sports these days, isn't it? Does talent on the court give you leniency with your behavior.

Why should the NBA be surprised that this is happening? After Laettner's little stompfest in Kentucky, he was never really punished for that, and he was drafted into the NBA with a higher pick than Shaquille ONeal. That was 15 years ago, and the players have consistently pushed the envelope since.

They will probably suspend Artest, but it will just happen again down the road with someone else, unless people start cracking down on immature players.

I think the league should give a very heavy warning to Artest. If he gets expelled from the NBA, he didn't have any notices. I think they should give him a probation such as if he gets another suspension, he is off the boat. At least that way he knows what's hitting him(the way he hit the fans.)
Ron has been giving the league a bad image. One man can only do so much to decrease the NBA's marketability. He is symbolizing all of what is wrong in today's professional sports. One more chance Ron. One more chance.

its just like any major professional sport in America, all the jocks get a break both in school, and with behavior...and why, because what they do makes so much money, not just for themselves, but for the teams/ owners/ and corporate America (the commercial sponsors)...and I suppose if it was a country singer, and not a urban culture basketball player there would be a difference? perhaps..., is that right..., no. That is however how things are here in our land...Those that have the most important job in the world, teaching our young...have to come out of their own pockets to get adequate materials to do their job...and we spend thousands (a large percentage of what a middle income person makes a year) to watch ingrates who make millions to entertain us...I traveled all over the world working for the American military and I see how some peoples' view of us as a country is askew...(sorry got off the subject... my answer, they will give him one more chance somewhere else...sad but true)

His unique fact approximately opting out (the 1st time he stated he replaced into thinking approximately it) replaced into that he had no concept that such particularly some communities could be attracted to him. i do no longer blame him to plenty because of the fact it particularly is no longer complicated to work out that he particularly particularly needs to win. I in simple terms choose he had made up his concepts faster, till now asserting that there replaced into ninety 9% danger he replaced into staying... i think of the Kings could be ok nevertheless, who knows, it may open up sufficient cap area to make a run at somebody else, nevertheless i think of the Kings ought to start Cicso or Salmons in his place and it does no longer harm the team plenty. As to the place he could or will pass, I have not have been given any concept.
