Cat Stevens was a excellent songwriter and had a wonderful
voice. I loved Morning has Broken. He was at the height of his
fame and then disappeared and got involved with his religion .
We didn't see or hear from him again until recently.I think he was
very good at one time .

Tea for the Tillerman is one of the finest works ever and I still listen to it. There is a singer/songwriter out there now, Ari Hest who is very similiar. I think you would like him.

Definately one of them.
Along with Bob Dylan, Gordie Lightfoot, Joni Mitchell, Donovan, Neil Young, etc in the folk music.
Have his and the others' albums.
