Importance of Racial Harmony in AMerica?

SO i have this essay to write and am trying to come up with ideas to write about... post anything relevant

QUestion is: Explain the importance of racial harmony and the tolerance of cultural differences in American Society.

that question is one sided...who is to say that it is important to america to have racial harmony...there has never be racial harmony in america and we are still here, we are still a super power...and at the very least not have racial harmony is good population control. It keeps the power balanced in america. Look at gangs and the mob...one will never become to powerful.

We do have pretty decent racial harmony compared to most other countries. Compare the ethnic conflicts in Africa and Eastern Europe with life in the USA. With so many different groups living in close proximity, things will never be perfect. However, things could be much worse.
