I have a baby corn snake, purchased from a trusted pet store. I've had him since christmas, and I feed him 1 pinky mouse every week. recently, he puked one up, and hasn't eaten since! he won't get anywhere near 'em! he hasn't eaten in 3 weeks! he's very small, and so is the mouse, but he won't eat!

please tell me he won't die!

What is the temperature that your corn snake is being kept at ?? About 80*F should get him to eating again.. Winter temperatures especially up north are hard to keep track of and if the snake gets chilled the food will spoil in the stomach and get puked up.. Good luck.

#1, as others have said, make sure the cage is warm enough 75-85 degrees & your snake has a secure spot to hide. Make sure your snake has plenty of fresh water available at all times. Many snake won't eat for a month or so after vomiting due to irritation of the throat & stomach. Watch him for about another week & keep offerring food every other day till he takes it. If not, you may have to force feed it with to save it from starving. Try brainning the pinkie( take a razor blade & split the skull to expose fresh scent) or even cutting the pinkie in half to make a smaller meal that your snake can swallow easily. Good luck.

reguragation can happen for a number of reasons most common is wrong temps or too large of a food item.try uping the temperature a bit and next time offer a smaller food item then before if even if the last food item was the right size still give smaller just to get him back feeding then offer his normal sized meal the following week.good luck

He won't die - not from not eating make sure he has water and in a few weeks he will eat again. keep him warm and at the proper temperature. snakes have been known to go on hunger strikes for months at a time. if he becomes listless and doesn't want to do anything take him to a vet.
