I have been playing for 1 year but i am at the level of sumone who has been playing 2.5 years??? HELPPP. i will have lessons 2.

There is actually no transition. It will be a new start. The fretboard is so much different from the keyboard that it will be like starting over again. But, maybe, your years of keyboard routine have given you the discipline to practice the guitar regularly. And that's a headstart.

i did the same transition when i was younger, they are both probably the two hardest instruments because they both involve chords while other instruments are usually one note at a time or one pattern, guitar is a completly different instrument than piano, but you have a good understanding of how to read notes, It would be MUCH harder have you never played piano,
you will do fine as long as you practice

I never had lessons for guitar & learned to play by myself. I learned piano many years before, but mostly on my own. If you understand chords, and chord progressions, it's easier to understand guitar. Fingering takes time, but if you've got rhythm in your right hand for strumming, you have a great start, plus some ambitextrocity in your left hand for fingering, it should be easier than someone with no musical training at all!
