1. How would you solve

(u+t divided by r-6) MINUS (u+t divided by 6-r)?

I got 2u+2t divided by r-6. this is correct?

It is like this

((u+t)/(r-6))-((u+t)/(6-r))

now to make 6-r into r-6 we have to change the negative sign in the middle into positive

((u+t)/(r-6))+((u+t)/(r-6))

When the denominators are same you can add both the numerators

((u+t+u+t)/(r-6))

and then the answer is

((2u+2t)/(r-6))

i got t-6/6-r. i might be wrong though.
