The growth hormone does not negatively affect the health of the cow, the quality of the milk, or your health. Although it may be questionable about its benefits, there are certainly no immediately apparent bad things about it.

I read recently that women who become pregnant and who drink milk from cows given BGH are more likely to give birth to twins or triplets. As I recall, this was from a British study. It seemed to indicate the growth hormone was doing something to cause the multiple births.

I would not be concerned for myself because:

1. I'm 55 years old and the hormones probably wouldn't affect me.
2. I have three grown sons, so what I drink won't affect my children.

i would be concerned because i do not know how it would affect the milk that i am drinking, and do not know if that growth hormone would affect me in any way.
