It is an absolute myth that people do not use pretty much 100% of their brains. Though there are still parts that we don't know what they do, it's been observed over and over again that when a part of the brain is doing nothing, it starts changing to do things you need more of. Thus, even blind people use the vision-centers of their brain... they have just stopped being vision-centers and started being used for other purposes!

the functions of neurons in the brain are not fully understood.
it is too complex for us simple minded folks who only use about 10% of our brain capacity.

We use all of our brain all of the time. Neurons fire regularly, all the time.
