fender precision bass they tend to cost between 800$ - 3000$ they are the best hands down.

MV Pedulla makes some of the best basses out there. Their prices start at about $2500 and go up to about $4800.

Carvin, my friend...I own two custom-built beauties. You can pick and choose colors, pickups, hardware and just about everything else and still have a bass for under 2 grand.
