The Wings of the Dove is very good.
The Remains of the Day is excellent.
Jude is grim but I loved it.
A Room With a View is a classic.
Tristam Shandy: A C0ck and Bull Story is a parody of the genre that someone with your taste could really get into.
The Age of Innocence was made by Scorcese but it's well regarded.

Kate and Leopold is a pretty good romance, Sleepy Hollow and From Hell are good english period horrors, and the Libertine is a very ucky english movie. hope this helps

I saw Vanity Fair with Reese Witherspoon. That was good! She takes on a british accent and the film was very well done!

Mansfield Park and Emma are all i can think of at the moment both are set in the early 1800's.
