There are some extremely hairy dudes out there. I'd have to say most likely they are real.

Sasquatch is currently believed to be the once thought extinct species Gigantopithicus. It was an upright ape about 8 or 9 feet tall. One of its molars is about the size of 4 human molars. It lived in northeastern Asia around the ice age and is believed to have crossed the Bering Straigh into North America.

I happen to live in an area where there are many "sightings" near the sierra's. The stories that old folks around here tell are chilling. Although there are bears and other large animals around here, there is an animal that makes a terrifying scream-growl that cannot be attributed to anything we know. I fully believe they exist, as do the multiple animal biologists that are government stationed in my area to study the sasquatch. As for me, yes, others don't believe... make your own decision.

Granted that we don't have a physical body, there are going to be skeptics. However, based on historically animals such as Gigantopithecus, they could physically exist. I've included a FAQs link setup by such researchers in identifying the difference between evidence and remains of such a creature. Many individuals get evidence and remains confused. There is evidence suggesting the presence of such a creature, not physical remains (skeletons).
And for a good reason, a rare species is not going to have plentiful skeletons to find and when they do die, most skeletons will turn to dust when open to elements. It's totally possible that our mind makes us see things that we want to see, but to imply without a doubt that it is physically impossible is rather ignorant. Ignorant because it to say that we know everything that exists on the land, we might as well claim we know everything that lives in the sea. That would be a huge feat in itself.
