A lesbian is a woman who is romantically and sexually attracted only to other women. [ Women who are attracted to both women and men are more often referred to as bisexual. if u mean what's the orginal of the word ''lesbian'' than it comes from the isle of lesbon
but if u mean what is a lesbian as a girl,than it's the girl who likes to have sex with girls only

I think it means a woman who is attracted to her own sex whether sexually or platonic.I have never tried to define this so please excuse any error.
I was in a lesbian partnership for 42 years until my partner's death.
