I want to drop honors English, and it is already 5 weeks into the semester. I am usually an A student, and I will have no regrets dropping it--but I am a little concerned at how it will look to colleges.

Are you in high school, or are you planning to transfer to another college?

It's better to drop it than to do poorly in it (although I know you said you're a good student!) Honors English will look good on your transcripts, but colleges won't look too hard at what you didn't finish as long as you impress them with what you did finish.

An exception to that would be if you drop a lot of stuff or drop something every semester. That may show a lack of responsibility from their view.

What grade are you in? I'm not sure what they'll look at but I know in most high schools, when you drop a class after the second week, you'll earn a 0 in the class and it will be calculated into your GPA. Colleges don't want to see a low GPA. But sometimes its an exception. If you dropped down from Honors to CP, it might be excused. Colleges want to see students who take challenging classes, sometimes it better to earn a 82 in an Honors class than get a 95 in CP.

i think of in case you nevertheless take the attempt and bypass it is not substantial in case you drop it. I even have additionally heard which you do not even ought to take an AP classification to take the attempt, yet you nevertheless ought to bypass it to get AP credit. As for faculties, it wont look super, inspite of the undeniable fact that it is going to look greater useful than you failing the class and undesirable grades in different instructions with the aid of class.

Well, you can't expect it to look good. It will look bad unless you get it taken off your transcript (which you ARE allowed to do that).
