My car is at 102,000. The manual makes no mention of the belt needing changed. Ever? My last car, a Honda CR-V did make mention of it, got the belt changed and 10,000 miles later a teenager cutting school slid on some snow and totalled it :-(. Do I need to do anything now?

I do believe that Toyota of that year uses a timing chain not a belt, this does not have to be replaced.

If it needs replacing it should specify in the manual. Most newer cars dont need repalcing but im an American car person. If your still not sure call a Toyota dealership but call more then one but i would say no.

yes it is time to do the timing belt on your car. If you ever have doubts on any maintenance questions you should contact your local independent garage I find for the most part they will be more helpful then the big dealerships, not only that generally they do as good a job if not better for less money.
