i was going to a store and pulled open the door but it was locked (stupid i know but there was no sign)so my finger slipped and it popped and started bruising and swelling and kinda crooked but i dont know if i should just let it sit or go to the docter

You should it sounds like what mine looked like when I broke mine and my parents waited a month to take me to the doctor and now it's all messed up You should really go to the doctor

Flick a finger from your other hand on the tip of the injured finger. If that resonates with pain, suspect a break. If not, it is some other kind of injury. Be sure to ice it regularly, no matter what. It is a great pain reliever for that injury.

you should go have it xrayed a.s.a.p. if its turning black it usually means a break..I had the same thing happen to me but it was a freezer door in a store bigtime Ouch.......since its crooked looking it means you need a finger brace on it. Good luck with it and hope it heals bigtime fast.

If you can wiggle it there is a good chance it's not broke even if it hurts to wiggle the finger. don,t use it and don't worry IF the skin isn't broken.

sounds more like a dislocation, yes go to the doctor.

me thumb was sprained once.. and me went to the doctor... me thoughts it was broken but me was wrong... it was dislocated thou.. but me popped it back in place by aplplying slight pulling motion.... me was in pain when did it thou.... it may help thou

get an x-ray. maybe just splinters
