I put on the defroster and the ice on the outside melts but the inside of the windshield is just saturated. This doesn't happen to the other 2 cars that are outside with my car. I checked all the windows and doors and they're all completely shut. It's happened for a while now and the seat belts are actually beginning to grow mold. Why is this happening...

Yes... I agree with the first 2 answers.

Your heater core is located under your dash... inside the vehicle. The part is not that expensive but you will pay $$$ for labour. Expect 3 - 4 hours for most vehicles.

Get the mechanic to check if the drain tube is blocked (This small step can mean the difference of doing the heater core). If the drain tube is blocked... all the moisture collected by your A/C (which is ON when you have it in Defrost mode) will collect in the bottom of the housing. As your car heats up... the heater core will cause it to steam and the blower will blow it on the windshield.

Moisture build up on the inside of the passenger cabin is caused from moisture inside the car. It is possible that moisture is getting in your heating duct system, carpeting, seats, or as mentioned above the heater core could be leaking.

If the heater core is leaking the coolant should leave have a sweet odor and leave a film on the windscreen. If you wipe it off with a white towel the towel should have a greenish tint to it.

Heater core: a small radiator located inside the passenger compartment under the dash. The heater core takes coolant from the engines cooling system to provide heat for the passenger cabin. It is normally located under the dash and accessible either via the under dash or through an access panel in the firewall.

I would take the vehicle to a mechanic or a garage.

Good luck.

I think you have a leak in your heater core located under your dash . when you turn on the heater it is sending a vaper on your window . Also look on the floor for a puddle.

you may have a small leak in the heater core sending vapor to the windshield and building up there.
