Why was june 28 no day for Franz Ferdinand to visit Sarajevo

I know that he was shot there but why wasn't it a good thing for him to be there?

bc they didnt want him as thier leader they wnated to be independent

I'm thinking this is homework, yours not mine, so...
1) The answer is somewhere in your text book or in your notes (if you were a decent enough student to take notes).
2) If you didn't bother to take notes or bring your text book home, do a quick and easy google search for Franz Ferdinand and Gavrillo Princep and read about them, June 28 and Sarajevo.
3) If you're honestly having trouble with your homework, there is a "Homework Help" section here on Yahoo Answers. Of course, you could always do what kids have been doing for years when they have trouble with their homework... ask your parents or your teacher. My husband has been a teacher for over 25 years and would never refuse a student's honest request for help. It will show your teacher that you are actually trying to do well.
In short, if you find the information yourself, you will be much better off.

Franz was shot in Sarajevo. That's what sparked World War 1.

The guy that was trying to bomb him missed, so the the driver of Ferdinad decided to take a different street. While they were taking the detour, they just happened to drive by the assasin. The assasin saw Franz and shot him and his wife.
