Well, all I know about my neighbours is that the ones on the right have a climbing frame in their back garden, which their 15yr old son still uses. And every Wed night she gets drunk and starts an argument with her husband, consequently screaming 'I hate you and don't love you any more!!'. And her husband wears sandals, all year round. And the ones on the left are ok, seem nice and are helping us with our fence that blew down in Jan.

My neighbours are all young and with families or kids. I am single and much older. They don't take the time to know their neighbours. Especially since there is no level to connect on. Perhaps it is different in your neighbourhood.

One of my neighbours is a christian who has prayer and worship sessions at his house. I smoke dope - quite a lot. We get on a lot better than you'd expect...
I don't know the rest of my neighbours. They keep moving out and quite often get replaced by new ones.

I know enough, we say hi and don't moan about each other's dogs and kids.
My neighbour thought it was funny when my cat ate her dinner off their table (!)
We accept parcels for each other and keep watch on each other's houses when anyone goes away but we don't do visiting or barbecues etc

I know all I need to about the one with 6 beagles, 4 bald tires, a pink shower stall, and 2 dead racoons in his yard.

my neighbour's a looney so not much! i don't want small talk, i just want to be able to walk out of my street without having to say hello or smile!!!is that too much to ask?

My next door neighbor is my Dad's best friend and has been since I was 4..so I've known him a long time

I live in a very crowded apartment building with VERY thin walls. I know far more than I would EVER want to know.
