Sometimes, I judge too quickly and harshly - as has been the case with the Jeremy Kyle show. When I first watched it recently, I wasn't impressed. He struck me as playing it up for the cameras more than the guests did. I thought he was the Anne Robinson of the talk show world - you know, being rude to everyone, playing the 'baddie', putting on this act for ratings. I did actually wonder if he was parodying other talk shows.
Well, I've changed my mind completely after watching the show over a few weeks while off work ill. The man talks a lot of sense, and he does so articulately and with real feeling, as opposed to being a psychobabbling sap. He is sometimes harsh, but today he hit the nail on the head with every guest on the show. This is one of the very few talk shows that I've found to be entertaining, informative, and educational. A rare mix indeed! I take my hat off to the man (well, I would if I had a hat.)
What do you think?

I can't stand that complete t**t, whenever I have the misfortune of inadvertedly finding myself watching his crap show. (other people in the house watch it avidly, not me).
Next time if anybody appears on his show they should ask "What do you mean man to man? Elaborate?" And no the lie detector test isn't 100% infalliable otherwise they would be using them in court and do away with barristers. He needs all the pond life he can get to make up his audience, regular viewers and "guests" otherwise he wouldn't have his cheap-to-make show. He thinks he know it all because he gets all the info from his researchers so he thinks he's god - and no I haven't appeared on the show. He's more of a woman than I know from the opposite sex. How come all the topics are all the same as are the phone in request bits before the adverts? Such Chav Tv! If you are an unemployed, two timing, jealous, alcoholic, drug taking, wife/ husband beater, who is pregnant (or not), on the game or has an asbo, then you should be on this show, now.

Personally, I find him smug and irritating - the problem is that someone starts something that becomes successful, then they end up unintentionally parodying themselves and then it becomes farcical - look at The Weakest Link - it started off as a decent quiz show with Anne Robinson making the odd witticism about a contestant - it was different, and people liked it. Now, several years later, she's saying things like "well no wonder you're single being as fat and ugly as you are" and instead of being witty, it's mean and makes uncomfortable viewing. Jeremy Kyle has gone the same way - he believes in his own hype so much that everything is over-exaggerated so that even when he IS making a valid point, he's doing so in such a way that he maintains his persona as "tough talking, because you NEED it" so the answer becomes lost in his need to get his pseudo-personality across.

ah you see jeremy is very wise and knows all. sadly i missed it this morning because my son was off sick from nursery and i had to sit through three episodes of thomas the tank engine! he is at times harsh, but the people who go on that show... more often than not need a good talking to and jeremy tells it like it is. x lol x
