how do I record and watch another channel on my tivo?

To record and watch two different channels you need TWO tuners. So, either use your TV's tuner to watch and the Tivo to record, or you need a dual-tuner Tivo.

Hi judgephil7,

Program your TiVO to record as you normally do. Then select the program you want to see and watch it. TiVO will record your program in the background while you watch.
