Acne Question?

My doctor prescribed me differin and doxycycline about a week ago. He told me the acne would get worse before it would get better. He was right on that one. So when should I expect results? Are answers are much appreciated.

the acne medication i take never made my acne worse in order to get better...i would ask for a different prescription like Tetracycline and Clindamycin or something...because with those two presriptions my face was almost clear within 2-3 weeks and i had severe acne
