Hi Nora
Sorry to hear of your dilemma.
It's probably superfluous of me to say that you can get pregnant at ANY TIME of the month - ovulation is not a precise science.
Be that as it may, unless you are on any type of fertility medication (and I assume you are not) then it is really UNLIKELY you would return a false positive pregnancy test. I am a midwife and have worked in fertility nursing for 22 years and have never actually seen a spontaneous false positive pregnancy test - sorry if that's what you were pinning your hopes on.
However, you may want to visit your doctor or a clinic and have a beta hCG blood test, just to make sure that you didn't get stuck with a dud home pregnancy test.
I am sorry that this is stressing you out so much but if I were you before I took another step I'd confirm whether there is a situation to be stressed about. If it did turn out I was pregnant, what I would do next would be to tell your ex (the father) and the two of you take it from there. If you're too emotional or confused to think straight then see if you can get in touch with a sympathetic, no moral grandstanding/no judgement counsellor who will help you straighten this all out, and figure out the best option for you.
I know it's a truly scary prospect to be faced with, and I wish you the best of luck.

It is really rare to get a false positive. You are probably pregnant. Make an appointment with a doctor. I got pregnant with my third child (due in July) on the last day of my period, it is possible. Talk with someone about making plans to finish college while you raise this baby, you both will have a better life if you do. Best of luck.

You never know when you could get prengnat. It really is hard to get a false positive...so I am sorry to say that you more than likely are pregnant :( You need to go to a doctor and tell them because you need prenatal care as soon as possible, vitamins and things like that. The best thing you can do is to be honest and let your bf know what happeend even though I know that it is easy to say, but it is going to be soooo hard. I feel for you, I really do!
Your ex knew the consequences that could happen so he is just as much responsible as you are for the pregnancy. I wish you the best and take care of yourself. I hope everything works out for you!

No such thing as a false positive only a false negative. You should go to your doctor asap. You can only get pregnant while you are ovulating. That usually doesn't occur after your period for a week or so. You should definitely go to the doctor because something else could be going on with you. Good luck

Yeah, you're pregnant! The only way to get a false positive is to be on fertility drugs, which you obviously are not! Time to tell the family and boyfriends. The good news is that you get to tell your ex's girlfriend and rub it in!!!

you can get pregnant at anytime of the month, and the missed periods and a positive test pretty much says it not a false positive, but if u believe so take another one

You can pregnant at anytime, even during your period. It's possible to have a false positive, I've had one myself. But it's pretty rare.
