Try ant bait, they take it and share with the others in the group.
I use old coffee grounds around the outside of my house. I also use whole bay leaves around the pantry. I keep the kitchen and bathrooms dry and free from too much moisture.
I hope this helps.
Good luck, Hon.

I had the same problem with these Little nasty things. I found where they coming in the house from (the window) and took white chalk and drew a line across the sills of all my windows. I have yet to see another ant in my house.

You might have a nest somewhere. If you do you will need to poison the nest or else they will just keep coming. I assume you have a yard, or a basement, become a detective. Clean houses are not relevant to bugs. If you find a nest, you will need to get a poison that they will take to their queen as she is the one that needs to be killed off. Try calling a company such as terminex and ask them what is a good poison or go to www.ask.com and ask there. Good luck. Be super careful if you have kids and pets.

I have used Cayenne pepper and it really works. I just sprinkled some where they are coming in and soon no more ants.

You might have a leaky pipe somewhere because they are also attracted to water. Chinese chalk is supposed to help.
