you are better to marry someone who you can get along with and grow old with, social class not withstanding.

Hmm. I've been happily married for 25 years, and he was from my country, but not my social class. Thing is, we have the important stuff in common - we agree on how a life should be lived, how people should treat each other, what's important in life.
We also get along very well (we also work together). On days when the romance isn't as sparkling as we'd like it, there's always the friendship to fall back on.
Those things have been far more important to our marriage than where we were born or into what social class we were born. Put my answer down as "either or both or neither, if you have the important stuff."

I think I should marry someone in my class. If I am a Yard-boy, a person who is a doctor wouldn't be my option...
If I am a Lawyer, I rather marry someone who's an accountant.
If I am a doctor, I rather date an doctor or someone in the medical field...
Class does count. Class authenticates who you really are... If you are a degraded, low ambitious person, then you would never become a lawyer and a doctor. And if you are a high quality person, you could never deal with a low class person.
If you are a low class person, you could never put up with the stuffs a high class person requires. Best choice is to find someone at your own level.
I have personal experience. I could not save. I had to buy my ex cigarette every day... She LOVES the bar and clubs. I could not PUT up with her behavior. She couldn't tell me the difference between "THEN" and "THAN"
She seemed happy earning $6 an hour at Wal-Mart. I tried to tell her that she needs to go back to school, but there was nothing I could do aside from pack my things and leave.

What does someone from your social class or someone from your country have to do with getting married?
You should marry only someone you respect and love.Class or country have nothing to do with marriage unless you have found someone from one of these whom you do love.
Marriage is a full time "job' and unless you have love and respect you should stay away from getting married.

I think you should marry whom ever you pleased to spend the rest of your life with. The only thing I suggest is know this,If you marry someone from your ethnic background , social class you are sometime not all the time limiting yourself to experiencing all of the other candidates that could make you happy or happier.I was for who ever made me happy, because I don't care what race they were as long as I experienced happiness. My husband is Bahamian and I couldn't have chose a better person.Mind you i am Indian,Irish, white .I am in school for medical assitant and my husband is in the marines it's the support that matters

You should marry someone who can prove they love you as much as you love them. Someone who is willing to tolorate our annoying habits and vice versa. SEX is also very important. If you like to have sex seven days a week you better be sure your significant other does too. Many people I know have gotten divorced because they married thier sexual oppisite. Social Class or Nationality isn't a good form of measurement for compatibility.

You should ONLY marry someone you LOVE. Social class and nationality have no bearing on the decision
