My question was but i doubt it will work was how can Christianity allow Gay bishops? What crazy shite is this? It seems to me this whole messed up world is run by gays.

No sorry i was just angry because my original question would n't get posted so i ahd to cange it radically. I wanted to know why gay bishops choseput themselves in such a position. i'm not christian and i'm not homophobic but is this not wrong. What the hell is going on?

Nina, I had a 4 year relationship with a gay minister and all I can tell you is the church is run by gays (from the very top, to the very bottom). Years ago it was socially unaccepted to be gay, so a lot of gays went into the church. Obviously these gays aren’t open about their sexuality, but I promise you they are there (and lots of them).
This is kind of hard to explain to you, so I hope you can follow what I’m meaning. Firstly, Jesus didn’t say a word about gays. The bible also doesn’t talk about homosexuality as a “sexual orientation”, it only talks about gay sex acts. So what makes a man gay? A lot of them think it’s having sex with another man (end of story, black and white). A lot of ministers know they have that attraction to guys, but they don’t act on it (so they don’t see themselves as homosexuals). Some of them do occasionally act on their sexual feelings, but then they feel guilty because of their beliefs. So they ask God for forgiveness and that gives them a clean slate (no sex with guys, they’re not gay). I know it’s stupid and I know there’s a lot of hypocrisy, but that’s honestly how a lot of them view it.
You can’t edit the bible to fit in with your own views, but that’s what most people do. I believe in God, but I think the bible is a lot of old crap. It was written by a lot of old men, not by God. Someone was asking a similar question last night and this is what I told them:
The Bible says clearly that sex with a prostitute is acceptable for the husband but not for the wife. Polygamy (more than one wife) is acceptable, as is a king's having many concubines. (Solomon, the wisest king of all, had 1,000 concubines.) Slavery and sex with slaves, marriage of girls aged 11-13, and treatment of women as property are all accepted practices in the Scriptures. On the other hand, there are strict prohibitions against interracial marriage, birth control, discussing or even naming a sexual organ, and seeing one's parents nude.
Over the centuries people who misunderstood or misinterpreted the Bible have done terrible things. The Bible has been misused to defend bloody crusades and tragic inquisitions; to support slavery, apartheid, and segregation; to persecute Jews and other non-Christian people of faith; to support Hitler's Third Reich and the Holocaust; to oppose medical science; to condemn interracial marriage; to execute women as witches; and to support the Ku Klux Klan. Shakespeare said it this way: "Even the devil can cite Scripture for his purpose."

This is a kind of complex thing I'm about to say so prepare yourself. Ready for it? If you don't want to hear a bunch of "rubbish" from the homosexuals, then don't post a question where your answer will most likely come from a homosexual. Oh, I do hope that wasn't too hard to understand. Since it has been said by other people as well, maybe you'll get the point. Yippee!!

There may be some gays at yahoo answers, and there are probably some racists posting on YA. And I don't know the answer to your question about gay bishops. But its not up to me to judge anyone. God keeps tally and he is the ultimate judge, as we will all discover one of these days.

You've got issues. Religion is constructed entirely out of hypocritical BS so this should come as no surprise. They always change their beliefs to court the populous and get the most followers. The better to bilk the most money out of them. I don't exactly agree with gays and don't totally believe it's right, but they can do what ever the hell they want as long as it doesn't truly adversely affect me.

if it were run by gays i think we would be more tolerant of people's differences. and likely pretty fashionable lol
the Episcopal church is the only one who as allowed a gay bishop, but i'm sure that will change in time. most gay people are just like everybody else. i'm sure you know several you don't even know are gay yet.

have you seen most of the questions posted on LGBT forums? Many of them are homophobic. If yahoo answers were run by gays, we wouldn't let answers like this one and all the others get posted.
