Xavier.... the more i say it, the more it sounds like "saviour"...
but all that matters is if YOU like it. and feel comfortable screaming it out of the toip of you lungs in a busy park, shop, street......
a girl i used to work with called her boy Blaid. i like the way it looks written, but not soo keen on the name.
another lady here in town names her son Braithe.
Then there was a Jackson ( i like that one)
and a Chaz.( not as in short for Charlie... they named him Chaz....)
here are some names from a baby book i have..
Albin
Baden (i love this one....)
Clayton
Deven
Efrem
Felix ( cant help but think "cat" when i say it)
Giles
Hugo
Imran
Jaiden
Kai
Logen
Mace
Niccodemus ( i went to school with a boy of this name)
Orlando
Pablo (another boy i went to school with)
Quin
Ralston
Riccardo
Spencer
Tavin
Unique (!?)
Vance
Walsh
Xanthus
Yves
Zaid
there are heaps more... try the net for unusaual names.

There's several Xavier's at my daughter's school, so it may not be as uncommon as you think. I like the name, though. One website I looked at said the name Aiden is number one right now! I would have never guessed that! I have to say, for boys, I generally like the more common names. I had three girls, but if I'd had a boy his name was going to be Joseph Andrew. How about using a family name, like your grandfather's or something? Grandparents eat that stuff up!

I love the name Keegan, Brody, and Brady. I don't think I would name my little boy Xavier..but that's just my opinion. You do what works for you. Do you have a middle name that goes well w/ Xavier?

Xavier sounds mysterious and adventurous...could come in handy when the ladies start calling him.
Another uncommon name very similar is Xander (alternative spelling: Zander). I have a baby cousin with that name but he's the only Xander I've ever met.
