ok, when I go to turn on my laptop it lights up lke it is going to boot but then the screen never comes on and everything stops. It doesn't continue to boot. The battery is fine in the computer. There is no error message and no weird noises. So when I turn it off to try to and restart it, it immediantly cuts off as soon as I hit the power button. Normally for a computer you would have to hold it down for a few seconds, but it doesn't. What could be wrong with it? It is under limited warranty but i just don't want to send it off for them to tell me I need to pay hundreds of dollars without some warning on here first. lol.. please help. thanks!

Sounds like the system board is dead and will need to be replaced. If it is under warranty, contact the manufacturer - they will replace it at no cost to you. If something got spilled on the laptop, the repair will probably not be covered by the warranty so you may need to pay to get it fixed.

Go to Control Panel and select Power Options and click the Advanced tab - under Windows. Look for what it says under:When I press the Power button on my computer. If it says Hibernate or Standby you may be having a problem with that particular feature. A new video driver from your laptop vendor or a BIOS update may solve the problem.

to learn if its the LC show screen, attempt a video show and connect it to the laptop, if video show works then there's a topic with the liquid crystal show. in case you do not have a spare video show, examine in BIOS. whilst computing gadget starts, press Delete key quite a few situations (diff laptop manufacturers use a undeniable key) in case you may visit that BIOS (a black show screen w/c in many situations lists all your laptop's hardware), restart the laptop back. If it nonetheless does not prepare something whilst restarted regularly, confirmed that liquid crystal show and broken or the cable connecting from the board to the LC is loose.
