Did you think it was convincing? Do you think it was Jesus' and his family tomb? Did you watch the debate afterwards? What did you think?

There is no 'strong evidence' that he never existed. That's like us saying there's no strong evidence that world war I happened, or slavery happened, because I don't remember it myself.

Whether the story of Jesus rising from the tomb is true or not, this particular case has a lot of major problems with it. For one, most every archaeologist- most of which are not christian in any sense of the world- find the whole argument to be built on very bad science and careless assumptions. (Some being that the name on the box may not be Jesus, and certainly isn't Jesus of Nazarath, it's in a richer area that we would imagine Jesus to have been buried in, and the find is 25 years old- and no one thought too highly of it till now for good reason.) This in its self should be enough proof for most of us... but because it's so sensational, and touches us all at a root level, it's hard not to have a deeper reaction to it. If they made a movie proving dolfins weren't mammles, but every other scientist scorned it as stupidity, we would just laugh and there'd be no thought of it. But with Jesus, there's a deep fear or desire in all of us to see that it's not true, that there is no hope, and this is all we've got.

For myself, I still believe in the bible story and am glad that the best arguments against it still come from crazy radicalizes who can't make a solid argument.

Well, realize that at the time "Yeshua" (Jesus) was just another of MANY messiahs/prophets running around Palestine in the 1st/2nd Century CE. There is also some good historical argument that he may never have existed at all.
For this to be "The Tomb of Jesus" one must a priori:
a-concede that he was a historical figure (Personally I think that likely)
b- that he died according to Biblical accounts, which were written 50-70 years after the fact.
Bottom line is, even using what Biblical evidence there is, there is no conclusive evidence.

I basically watch the debate and that i think of is obtainable is the tomb of Jesus as each and all the names are there! Jesus son of Joseph, Mariam , and the Judah son of Jesus , is unquestionably unusual a number of those names jointly, so I shop an open concepts, something is obtainable! so some distance as I understand Jeshua replaced into born , lived and replaced into buried as a Jew! I uncertain as to the hot testomony writtings , simply by fact others are being chanced on and are very diverse , the gospel of Thoas , the gospel of Mary Magdalene and the gospel of Judafh. so Iam questioning according to risk the 1st churh fathers carried out into the hot testomony what replaced into handy for the churh, in this of path ,the catholic churh and its founder Constantine!i even have self assurance he replaced right into a prophet and replaced into in a race to loose his land from the Romans! I understand the hot testomony writtings have been written some years afte the death of Jeshua. So in this century is all coming jointly you compromise?

Heres what I think.. It is cool that they discovered an ancient tomb, but I don't think Jesus ever even existed in the first place.
