How about a much better operating system than XP for free, is that cheap enough? Very easy to use Kubuntu, an open source Linux Operating system, will be up and have you online in 5 minutes while XP will take about 2 hours to format, load, and update. In addition, Kubuntu is way more secure, does not require activation, almost never gets infected with Virii, and offers many, many more advantages of XP. XP does have ONE advantage, tho. They have very good advertising and marketing, while kubuntu does not. www.kubuntu.org

You can get an OEM version from newegg.com or tigerdirect.com. If you need it sooner, visit your local computer store. I think the OEM XP Home is around $80. You can even check ebay.
Edit: Loyal B mentioned Linux. I have OpenSUSE on my other desktop at home, and I love it. However, it takes some getting used to. Most linux distro's don't natively support most wireless network cards, but you can get them to fuction with a lot of work. but it is free!
