I think at about age 16 because they are probably dating already. The best thing to do is to bring it out in the open and dicuss it and set some rules. Other wise you will have alot of problems on your hands. My parents never really had any of those conversations with me. I made a few mistakes of my own. Be the type of parent that your kid can come to you and tell you any thing that is on there mind so that you can have that open and honest relationship. I my self am not that much older than 16 but I did get pregnant. My daughter not the mistake. The fact that I could never go to my parents is one and only thing that I look back at and wish that things could have been different. Believe me your kid will love you for that. That would be the best thing for them. Most important thing that would be the best for you and for your child is about sex and what the possibilities are. I learned that from personal experience.

Well, It important to know why you want to date, are you dating to have a fun romance with someone that will last a while, but not forever? Or are you dating to find a potential spouse? If you are dating for fun, then I would say 16, or else whenever one of you are able to drive. Its no fun to have your mom pick you up from a date. If you are dating for a spouse, to potentially marry someday, then wait till your 18 becuase that is the youngest you can get married in most states! Good luck..;) If you want to know more, email me at flowerdamsil@yahoo.com

I think anything younger than 15 is too young, b/c you need time to enjoy being w/ just your friends....( I can't talk though b/c I started before) 15 just seems soooo young to me now! : ) I think 15 or 16 b/c then you can actually drive for dates & not have your parents take you everywhere!

30, by then you will have a good sense of self, established career and the guys you meet will have the same. I'm not kidding. I'm not saying don't see people but don't get into a serious relationship until your life is where you want it to be.

i think 16 is the best age. you have gotten used to your body by then, hopefully learned about birth control and pregnancies and i dont mean all the stupid myths. mentally mature and can handle any bad situations. 16 is the best age.

Hun, there is no specific age. You know that you are ready to date when you are emotionally ready. This type of maturity happens when you're in your late teens to early adult-hood....or even later!
