basically a new computer with a 1.4ghz they are all cheap today and the cheapeast place is in the link i gave you they have really cheap computers for more than 2.0ghz

Unfortunately, you need a computer more suited to run The Sims. This game uses a lot of your computer's resources, so even a machine that has the "minimum requirements" will not run the game well, and it will take forever to play.

Go to your computer's manufacturer's website and find the specs on your computer. Look for the motherboard chipset series/ID and then go to that manufacturer's website. On their, search the motherboard number and find the maximum processor speed supported by the motherboard. Then, with that information, look for a CPU like that. Odds are it will probably be cheap since the one you have now is only 1GHz and that sounds old.

Yes, it will just run slow. If their are graphics setting, set it to the lowest possible graphics setting you can (sometimes listed as low detail). That way there is less work for your computer to do.

no affence but you gots a slow computor
BUT! you can buy a "ram" and that would help your comp move faster when playing games
it cost about 100$ for .1ghz
