I started having seizures again and I can't drive now. My parents think I am being mean whenever I start talking about moving out on my own someday. But how can I feel more independent in the situation I am in now? I am 28 yrs old and need your suggestions. Thanks.

Hi young pal, having never driven, but worked, its something I take for granted. I pay my way to work.
Its gonna be a big loss, but you will get used to it.
Re-adjust, it will take time, but thats life.
Good luck my friend.

well if driving is out of the answer to your problem then you need to start taking public transportation and show your parents that you can do that on your own (believe it or not, taking public transportation is a demonstration of more independence than driving a car). If you have a job, help your parents with some bills at home and start up a savings account. When you've saved up enough money to make a rent payment, electricity, food, furniture, etc. then simply tell your parents that you are ready to move out. By helping them will bills and keeping a savings you are showing independence and maturity. You're legally old enough to move out, but you always need your parents by your side and I'm sure they will be willing to help you.
