Bacteria cause hundreds of diseases: Tuberculosis, Typhoid fever, syphilis, gonorrhea, botulism, tetanus, the plague, Strept Throat, Scarlet Fever, Diptheria, Anthrax, bacterial meningitis, Whooping cough, Leprosy, etc.
Bacteria are prokaryotic organisms. They're in a completely separate kingdom. Pretty much everything else (plants, animals, fungi, protozoa) is eukaryotic.

Just to put things in perspective, bacteria and other microorganisms are the number one cause of death and disease throughout the world hands down. It's not cancer or heart disease, which are mainly afflictions of the developed world.

bacteria is a procaryotic cell that goes under kingdom protesta...it`s role of causing disease related to it`s virulence factor or factors of pathogenesis by which bacteria can invade host cells and cause it`s cytopathic effect...from this factors there are:
1-fimbria or pilli which allow bacteria to stick on the host cells and bind to cell receptor..also adhere to mucous membranes of different organs against innate immunity.
2- endotoxcin and exotoxcin as they can cause shock lead to death.
3-some enzymes as hyalouridinase and heamolysin which are consider as spreading factor for bacteria by destroying RBCS and intracellular matrix.
the disease may be due to toxemia :moving of toxcins in blood or bacterimia:passing of bacteria in blood without multiplication or production of toxcines or septicimia:circulation of bacteria with toxcines in blood or pyamia:circulation of pus in blood...
