What would you do if the role was reversed? You would say that you would deserve to be paid. Anyway if it wasn't Terry being paid to present the show, then it would be somebody else.
Also every member of the crew (Sound, Cameraman/woman, sub-titles, editing, producers) get paid to make the show. Do you think that they world be doing it for nothing?
Anyway by the time that Children In Need have taken out the Administration fee's only about 25% of the money raised actually goes to Charities.
If you do want to donate to a charity that 1% of the money given is spent on Admininistration then donate to the Salvation Army, as out of every £1 donated 1pence is used in admin. ( I know this as I used to work for them & they got money from Children in Need for their Children Home in Liverpool Called Strawberry Fields, which is the same place where John Lennon used to Play as a child with children from the home & became the name of a single by the Beatles)

Nobody takes a fee for presenting Children In Need. That's the whole idea. Terry Wogan is one CO-presenter amonst many around the country. And the bear's name is PUDSEY!

Its disgusting, he earns approx £1,300 per hour(most individuals are lucky to earn that per month for hard labour) for doing sod all when everyone else does it for free, he's got enough money, what he gets for afew hours easy work, is the equivalent for alot of people of a years wage, people's licence fee money is going on this over paid ****, I certainly won't be watching while some millionaire asks me on a pittance to hand out money, it's a disgrace, if I was loaded with money it would be another matter but I ain't and I can't do it all, there are so many charities asking for money, some I already donate to, it should be the millionaire celebrities handing out THEIR doh not Joe Bloggs who has trouble having enough money to care for themselves and get food on the table, the world is a mad place, the poor are get poorer and the rich richer, for Wogan this will be pocket money for him so he can prehaps splash out on an expensive holiday or flash new car of course he dosn't donate his money he earns on the night, what would be the point of paying him in the first place, he's a greedy bugger and in the past has quoted himself saying he believes he deserves all the money he gets, any one who says he deserves the money must have a screw lose or be loaded with money like him so they aren't bothered, absolute insanity!

Is the facade of this unbearably smug and boring individual starting to crumble? For years he has spouted mindless drivel on T.V. and radio. Not even entertaining, let alone witty or worth listening to. He must have a really good agent! Come down the pub with me to hear real humour. That's if he has time to get his snout out of the trough. Just in my 33rd year of marriage to an Irish girl. She can't stand him either. It's a bit rich to claim the fee was from B.B.C. funds. That's just as bad. No doubt clever "Tel" will present an air of slight confusion about the matter but here is one person with whom it will not wash. Step down before you damage the fund raising efforts of others. You've lived off their backs for long enough.

What would he need the money for anyway?
The BBC owns him and keep him locked in a cupboard.
When Children in Need and the Eurovision Song Contest are on the TV Executives just wheel him out and give him a quick dusting down.
When whatever he's presenting is finished they just wrap him in bubble wrap, stick a few mothballs in his mouth and lock him in the cupboard again until next year.

It's pathetic he gets paid millions of pounds for work that he does anyway why does he need to be paid for a charity event?
He said that he's never asked for it but it's not hard to ask to stop receiving the money... it's estimated that he's made £170,000 over the years...surely that's not fair?

the cameramen and sound guys etc etc are also getting paid.
why dont you just give a fiver directly to a childrens charity and feel good about yourself instead of asking us to justify your totally pathetic query about tv and the human condition?
the answer? because the thought never even crossed your mind did it. i have had it with this site.
