i know that the long tshirts and big belts over were in style...and about the jelly braclets can you give me a link to a picture...and what other kinds of jewelry were popular...if i am wrong about the long shirts and big belts just let me know!

Your right about the Big belts and shirts but we also "sported" some:
fluorescent clothes, jelly sandals, crops, Janet Jackson keys in earrings, "Frankie goes to Hollywood" shirts, madonna crucifixes, mini skirts w/ legwarmers, penny loafers, heavy makeup. Spiked hair w/ lotsof mousse, stone wash jeans, member only jackets, Ray ban sunglasses etc....

All the earrings were really big, and dangly. Also, the swatch watch was in style. There were also friendship pins. A friendship pin is when you take a safety pin, and put some little beads on it, and then you would put them on your shoes. There were also ribbon barrettes. You would take a barrette that has two edges that are split in the middle (sorry not the best description. I'm not sure how to describe the barrette), and braid in two different colors of thin ribbon, and you would let the ends of the ribbon hang down and sometimes you would add a couple of beads to it.

I recall the big shirts and belts. Some of the jewelry I remember... big hoop earrings, pearls, big colorful earrings, bangle bracelets, the necklaces that you buy the little rings to add on, Swatch watches, waterfall earrings, etc.

big button earrings layered necklaces crossess [madonna]80's was about big we wore all jewelry big.that was high school for me. :)also wearing several small belts was cool too!
