We had a sleepover planned (I'm in the 9th grade) and suddenly my mom pulls the whole "I've never met this girl or her parents" thing. So now she's saying I can't go. I introduced her to the girl today, but that didn't seem to help. Any tips?

Tell her that it'll be good to go and study together , or if that doesnt work, which it probably wont, unless its really the truth...anyways.. you should tell her that her parents will be there too 'supervising' you guys, so you'll be safe. Your moms just worried that something might happen to you, assure her that everything will be fine and there will be, responsible, adults in the house. Or yea, just invite your friend over yourself.
~ hope that helps.. :-)

Maybe next time, introduce her to your friends. Parents like to see who their kids are hanging out with, you no, drugs, alcohol etc. If you invite your friends over for a movie or coffee, then she will be comfortable with your sleepovers. She might have a concern about sex as well. Maybe you should think about this one carefully.

well i say tell her about the girl and her parents or whoever... pull the "i'm growing up and u should be able to trust me thing" then if possible call ur friend and have her mom or dad ask for u to go and say that u'll be safe and u know things like that... make sure u explain that like no boys are going to be there unless she has brother(s) some parents trip over things like that.... and well do what i do irravate her and begg.... she'll finally say yea do whatever i don't care...lol... it always works for me :P

As a mom I'd feel better if her parents called and explained that you will be supervised the whole time and gave a phone number where they can contact your friends parents.

Maybe you should have your friend's parents contact your mother in regards to the sleepover, to let your mother know that its legit. Your mother is taking the necessary precautions as a parent. I have friends who are the same exact way.

Did you tell her along with her desires and you will make him sleep in a various room? My mom replaced into not undemanding with it too til she ultimately reported specific, and me and him are 19 as properly. If she we could him stay over, do not visit mattress too late in case your with him cuz it could make your mom think of you men are making plans something or being whiny and shell somewhat he does not stay over for the nighttime back.

i would worry about you being trapped in someones house and being abused. i would sorry they might drug you and sexually abuse you. i would worry tha you might sneak out with your friend and stuff might happen, an accident or something. these are stuff your parents worry about. when a kid goes throught trauma its the parents that hurt the most. repect what your parents say. let them know you understand and in futre they willrepect you and give you more freedom.

It is probably not meant for you to go so explain that to your friend and see if you can invite her over so your mom can get to know her.
