I don't know what you would sue her for. Did you ask her if she had an STD before having sex with her? Did you have a contract that specified that she alert you if she contracted an STD?
Perhaps you shouldn't have sex with an ex-wife...

No as this will not solve anything and will not take care of the problem. I would get all the medical help and attention that i could get asap and try to get it under control. Suing is not the answer here. Did they know they had an std? Who is to say that they are the ones that gave it to you in the first place? What proof do you have? If it is aids be careful and whatever std you have stop having sex now. Do not spread it!

What for? It would just be a long, drawn out legal battle. And, sorry to be so blunt, but if it was something like AIDS, you would probably be dead by the time it was ever settled in court, so what would be the point? If she gave you the STD while you were still married/living together, then make her pay for the doctor visit and any necessary medication, and forget it. If you had sex with her AFTER you split up, and she gave you the STD, then that was pretty dumb on your part.

You have already sued her for divorce. I am not sure what damages you could claim because you would have to prove that she had knowledge that she was infected and that there was some intention to pass it on. Expensive process with a doubtful outcome. I would just let it go.

How could you sue if it was consentual. You should have worn a condom. Why are you having sex with the ex-wife anyway. Confront her and make her pay for your medication to get rid of it.

Are you sure that taking her to court and EVERYBODY finding out that you have an STD is worth it? I might be tempted to call and tell the guy she's seeing to use some protection, but taking her to court and everybody finding out about it isn't something I would do if I were you!

I don't think you could sue over that. I think it is a live and learn thing. Not much you can do now, but not make the same mistake again.

If it is incurable or life threatening, and it was during a legal (contractual i might add) marriage...HELL YEAH. People need to hold others to the consequences of their actions, then stuff like this doesn't perpetuate.

if she knew she had the STD and passed it to me, I would just leave and not talk to her ever again
if she didn't know she had it I would have some questions to figure out what to do next

you know, if you have aids and you willingly have unprotected sex with someone without disclosing the information you can be charged with first degree murder. so i am pretty sure that you would win the case if you sued.
and yes i would, because i would know where he got it from and that is dirty.
