I am 39 and 3 days and feel like I will be pregnant forever. No contractions at all..I never had any Braxton Hicks...I can just feel babe is in my pelvis and causing me some pelvic pain as he moves around a bit. I find out tommorrow if I am even dilating/effacing. I previously asked a question on Yahoo to see if anyone went into labour without prelabour signs...and quite a few women have. Oh..I thought you were suppose to have an "energy spurt" right before labour, not be tired?? Best of luck to you...

It is very normal, I was at 3 cm and 90% effaced for two weeks and didn't even feel it. When labor started in earnest, I knew it. It went pretty quick so be ready, you may not have a lot of time with this one. Make sure everyone has a plan and that whoever is going to keep junior #1 can meet you at the hospital if necessary. Make them an extra key to your car so they can grab the carseat if necessary. Pack an extra diaper bag (a little one will do) with some snacks, toys and a change of clothes (and a couple of diapers and wipes if necessary) for #1 in case he has to stay with you at the hospital for awhile until he can be fetched. Good luck, won't be long now.

Oh gosh I think that's completely normal. I was 3 cm dialated with my first daughter before I was induced - and my body still wasn't ready! I ended up having a c-section because my labor stopped progressing. Who knows, I might have made it to 4 before I went into labor naturally. Each pregnancy can be different - when I was pregnant with my first daughter I worked two jobs and felt the best I'd ever felt in my life! With my second I was miserable, and didn't do much but lay on the couch all day. It was awful! So you just never know. :) Your body knows what it's doing though! :) Good luck!

Just be HAPPY that you aren't feeling the way that most women feel at the end!!! I am HORRIBLE right now. I am 33 weeks pregnant with twins 3cm dilated and 80% effaced, and I am crying at the drop of a hat, I cant eat cuz I get heartburn, I cant sleep because everything hurts, I have to pee every 5 mins literally, my back is killing me, and most of all I am on bed rest and cant leave this GOD FORSAKEN HOUSE!!! I am sooooo jealous of you!!! Good Luck and yes, its completely normal to feel that way I did with 2 of my other pregnancies!!!

Sounds like a normal second pregnancy to me! You have to remember that your body has already been through this once so it knows what to do this time. You also have to remember that every pregnancy is different. You may not have "back" labor this time, which is why you are not feeling uncomfortable. That is something to be thankful for! Good Luck and congrats!

I've learned that almost anything is normal in two different pregnancies. I would have thought my second was going to be on time but went in for false labor twice just like his brother. I would have thought he was a girl too, because I carried differently and had different cravings. If you are seriously concerned call your doctor. Thats what you are paying the big bucks for ! Congrats !

Every pregnancy in every woman is different. I have 3 children. The pregnancies and the births were all different. If your worried that you won't know when it's time, don't. You will definitely know.

Your body is used to this by now. Honestly it sounds like your body is acting like a true trooper--it knows what to do by now! You'll probably start feeling more and more contractions by 4 cm though.
