If they had in fact traded with them, then undoubtedly they would have known of the Spanish existence. However there is no evidence to show that they did. The Aztecs did not possess ships that could carry them to those regions.

funny thing about Aztec civilization was it was VERY isolationist AND expansionist...

So whilst they continued to conquer neighbours they also continued to become more and more inward looking.
In terms of the Spanish in the Carribbean - i doubt that it would have made much difference even if they had trade with those areas. The Aztecs were interested with only grain and land to grow it. So your question can only be answered with a no as there was no trade between the two on any serious level.

However, its funny to note that the Spanish were expected - white deamons from across the sea were due to destroy the civilizatin before the end of the century... interesting...

R.C. Padden's The Hummingbird and the Hawk (a narrative of the Spanish conquest of Mexico) asserts that the Aztecs were aware of "newcomers" to the Caribbean in the decades prior to Cortez' invasion.
