I used to watch this programme on Anglian Television, but since moving to Kent nobody seems to remember it. Anybody else remember it?

god yes i remember Romper Room with Miss Rosalyn Thompson WHO presented it from 1964 - 1976, and can you imagine how excited you got if she mentioned your name on TV even though she probably just picked out names at random, looking through the magic mirror, and i still remember the Anglia silver knight ident which i still love to this day, brings back happy memories.
Romper room began life in the United States and strangely all the women presenters were referred to as "Miss" with Miss Nancy being the 1st

Yes I also remember and no they never once ever said my name but she said Shelly every othe day. the show scarred me I may never get over it LOL- How about the Magic Garden that came on right after - with the Giggle Patch of flowers that had the lamest jokes ever told

Yes and I think it was on in the 60's more than the seventies wasn't it? Is that the one where she held a hoop thing up to her face and looked through it reciting birthday names saying "and I see Cindy, and I see Billy".....? Do you remember Friendly Giant?And if youre from Toronto, Uncle Bobby.

Yes I do...a few years ago someone stole the Magic Mirror, it was in the news and everything but yes. that show was on when I was like 2,3,4,and 5. wow...how time flys.

yes I do. I remember the song where the balloons balls had a sting attached and it goes something like...Bounce, Bounce Bounce the ball bounce them all day long!!

we had it here in the states too. i watched in the 60's. i waited for her to say my name in the magic mirror each day, to no avail. alas, one of my saddest childhood memories.lol
