I was just reading Romeo and Juliet and was confused a little about who gave her the poison mixture. I think it was the friar. Any help?

Friar Lawrence was handy in herbal medicine, and gave he gave Juliet a concotion to put her in a death-like coma for 42 hours.

It was the Friar - but it wasn't really poison. it was just some herbal medicine meant to put her into a death-like state for a few days, so her family would think she's dead and put her in the family crypt. Then, she was to wake up and escape to meet up with Romeo.
The Friar sent a messenger to Romeo telling him of this plan, but unfortunately, that messenger didn't make it. Instead, Romeo got the erroneous news that Juliet had killed herself with poison.
Desperate that his one true love had died, he went to an apothecary and bought himself some REAL poison. Then he hurried home to see if Juliet was really dead.
He found her in the crypt and thought she was dead (even though she was just in a a deep slumber and apparently just coming out of it.) Heartbroken, he drank the poison. Just as he died, Juliet woke up, and realized what he happened. Unwilling to live on without him, she tries to poison herself first by kissing his dead lips, hoping there'll be enough poison on them to kill her. When that doesn't work, she uses his dagger to stab herself.

Yes. The friar gave Juliet the poison, though she drank it at her house of her own accord. I played Juliet a few years ago.

no romeo pretended he died and news got by her that romeo died so she drank poison when romeo wasn t really dead then he heard that Juliet's crazy *** killed her self so he thought life meant nothing to him without her in his life so he killed himself to be with her stupid but that was true love right there
