You're actually allowed to because everyone is granted the freedom of speech, only you'll be reprimanded because you say those words and the teachers don't want you to grow up like that. (Or do they?) =)

Cuss words are usually rude or crude words that mean something worse and is not something children should be exposed to. Some cuss words are taking God's name in vain and should not be used at all. Those responsible for making the rules decided it's best not to expose children to these crude words.

using 'cuss' words is just bad manners

you want to swear at school? why not swear during job interviews as well? that'll go down real well, i hope you like working at Mcdonalds till you're 45

if you resort to swearing all the time it'll become a second nature and one day you'll swear at the wrong person and suffer the consequences

2 reasons: 1) It can be offensive to people around you (even those who claim not to be offended by it) and 2) It gives others a bad impression of yourself and your surroundings.

This may seem very trivial, but consider this: School is essentially training for real life, and as such, there are people around you that may affect the rest of your life. Chances are good that you won't get good references or have people help you out if you annoy others by using words that are demeaning ("cuss words") around them or to their face. Besides which, it's a low level patina of bad karma that surrounds your actions for a while. Will bad language harm your relationships with like-minded friends? Probably not. Can it hurt your future? Definately. Think of school as practice for censoring and improving your language skills, and you'll be able to use those skills for the rest of your life.

As satisfying as the use of a profanity can be at times, teachers want you to learn how to express yourself without cussing. You might be surprised to know that when you're an adult (even now)you're generally taken more seriously and shown more respect when you can say something without resorting to foul language.

Basically the school is trying to teach you to respect yourself and others. It is preparing you for the professional world later on. You have to conduct yourself in a manner that your peers can respect you for. However, when you are with your friends, go ahead. PEACE OUT

I would say that using profanity is not using your brain because you can use more intelligent words to express yourself than just copying what others say (which is too easy). It is inappropriate at school because nobody wants to hear it.
